How womens’ bathing suits have changed over the years…

And a little Rule 5 action towards the end, for those who persevere through the early years…  😉

City Ordinance: No less than 6" from the knee

City Ordinance: No less than 6" from the knee

This is a photograph of a beach scene in 1922. City officials decleared that bathing suits must be no more than six inches above the knee. The city official in the photograph was responsible for enforcing the ordinance.”

EVEN in the 1970s, women were still by and large quite modest…

”][I wonder if the REAL purpose of the first jock-strap wasn't to keep hidden...oh, never mind]Then PlayBoy happened. The 70s hippies happened. “If it feels good do it” happened.  Divorce, extra-marital sex and pre-marital sex, began to be more and more acceptable. Having children out of wedlock became more accepted.

And bathing suits got skimpier and skimpier…

Very little was off limits. Topless started in Europe and spread to America (topless has been happnin at Miami Beach since at least the early 80s. Granted, not all of ’em yet, but some.)

  1. I love bathing suits, I cannot without them. The old style bathing wasn’t sexy at all. It makes me feel wanted!

  6. You got it wrong on the string “bikini”. It’s clearly a one-piece.

  7. I like the older bathing suits, it is no wonder to me why women are thought of as nothing but feminazis or sex objects.
    BUT..
I can see that men would like this

    Ummm, two things.

First, “butt floss” suits are yummy (I’m a flaming heterosexual, can’t help myself).

Second, I’m glad TMJ is not a fan of such things – gives me faith in her as well…

(who shares one thing with lesbians – love of a great female body in a skimpy suit…)

  9. Of Course! Of course men would like this, but I also believe that a married man would rather not see his wife like this in public.

I don’t mind the pin-ups of the 40’s-50’s, those are just plain fun for anybody to look at- I think because they remind me of WW2 more than anything and my Poppy liked them.

    😀 Entertaining nonetheless..

      TMJ:

      That is indeed true.

I am a blessed man inasmuch as Ms. T Bagg (who recently turned 29 for the 21st time) still has the body to pull this off – but only in our bedroom…
