The price of a U.S. postage stamp was 6 cents in 1969, for airmail it was 10 cents.
That is an increase of over 800% since 1969. Because the Government has a monopoly, the Government gets to set the cost of the stamps. Fed Ex and UPS, etc. are not allowed to deliver regular mail. Meanwhile, the price of gas has hardly gone up comparatively. Maybe we should have the oil companies run the health insurance bidness…
