Oh no! Not another boycott from the self-appointed moarlity wing of the GOP!

By Doug Hagin

A couple of groups are vowing to boycott CPAC this year because the group GOPProud, a Gay Republican group was invited. Hmmm, why would they take a “I will take my ball and go home” attitude? Why not act like adults, and go, have some discourse, find out where they agree/disagree with GOPProud? Perhaps there is more in common between these groups than not?

Frankly, if I attend CPAC, which I would like to, or not depends on work, not on who is attending. Frankly, I have problems with some of the Nanny Statism I hear from the groups that have their panties in a bunch. So what? Does not mean I would not go just because they were going to be there. Likewise with GOPProud. I might not like everything that group stands for either. Again SO WHAT?

Frankly, the Concerned Women for America and the Family Research Council ought to be bigger than they are being about this. Their boycott is nothing but a childish stunt  in my view.

Two of the nation’s premier moral issues organizations, the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America, are refusing to attend the Conservative Political Action Conference in February because a homosexual activist group, GOProud, has been invited.

“We’ve been very involved in CPAC for over a decade and have managed a couple of popular sessions. However, we will no longer be involved with CPAC because of the organization’s financial mismanagement and movement away from conservative principles,” said Tom McClusky, senior vice president for FRC Action.

“CWA has decided not to participate in part because of GOProud,” CWA President Penny Nance told WND.

FRC and CWA join the American Principles Project, American Values, Capital Research Center, the Center for Military Readiness, Liberty Counsel, and the National Organization for Marriage in withdrawing from CPAC. In November, APP organized a boycott of CPAC over the participation of GOProud.

There is also a good deal of dismay over the growing Libertarian attitude among many Republicans. Frankly, the GOP should embrace more of the Libertarian ideals, not all necessarily, but many of them. The fact is the more we can remove government from our lives, ALL areas of our lives, the better! Some “Social Conservatives” are all for embracing small government, until something offends them. Then they want the FCC to crack down on TV, then they start carping about “public airwaves” and “community standards” to beat the band. Of course, now their mantra about5 public airwaves is being used by Liberals like Al Sharpton to try and use the FCC to control Conservative talkers like Rush Limbaugh.

The sad fact is this, once you invite the government into your home to control your TV, or your community standards, so you will not be offended, that same government will soon be in every room of your house. That same government will soon be controlling everything you do. The Social Conservatives ought to learn this lesson, and learn how to use the remote control as well. trust me it is pretty easy.

Again, boycotting CPAC just makes these groups look less Conservative and more like Liberals to me. If I were to advise them, I would say grow up and show up.

An interesting question or two

American and Proud points to a story that raises two key questions.

The tea party is racist because we don’t like the Obama-Pelosi-Reid triad of DOOM…But black folks 91% are voting for Obama. Who’s the racist again?

Ominous new Gallup findings for Democrats: Blacks still love Obama, others not so much

The good news for President Obama is his popular support among blacks is holding steady at 91%.

The bad news is no other group of potential voters likes him that much.

In fact, 29 days before his first midterm elections, the Democrat’s approval ratings remain mired below 50%.

The first question is why the media plays their typical double standard Card on this. I think we all are, by now, painfully aware that the media WANTS racism to be a bigger issue than it is, but only CERTAIN racism. The media likes to pretend that America is still in the 1950’s racially, and they have a long history of spinning and yes, FABRICATING, news to try to make us all buy into their fantasy.

The second question is why do so many Blacks so fiercely identify themselves by their skin color? Well, sadly, that mentality has been drilled into their heads for decades now. Democrats, and groups, like the NAACP, that NEED Blacks to identify themselves as ONLY racial group have done a grave disservice to Black Americans by convincing them that EVERYTHING about them centers on their skin color.

Blacks are told that their color determines how they should vote, how they should stand on political issues, and how they should view America. Blacks have been conditioned to feel ashamed if they dare question the Liberal ideology. Those that do dare step off the Plantation of Liberal Ideology are ostracized as Uncle Toms, House Niggers, Oreos, or are told they are not really Black, or that they are traitors to their race. How shameful and despicable that Liberals love power more than morals and will do and say anything to keep Blacks locked into voting Democrat.

A bit of misplaced, yet righteous outrage

Oops He Did It Again: For Second Time, Obama Omits “Creator” When Speaking of “Inalienable Rights” Cited in Declaration of Independence…

Now, the real problem im the Obamassiah’s statement is not his “omission” of the word Creator. Here first read his statement.

Just seven days after he sparked controversy by omitting the word “Creator” when he closely paraphrased the passage from the Declaration of Independence that says all men “are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights,” President Barack Obama again omitted the Creator when speaking about the “inalienable rights” that “everybody is endowed with.” This time the president was speaking at a Sept. 22 fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, and his reference to “inalienable rights” was not as close a paraphrasing of the Declaration as it had been the week before.

“And what was sustaining us was that sense that, that North Star, that sense that, you know what, if we stay true to our values, if we believe that all people are created equal and everybody is endowed with certain inalienable rights and we’re going to make those words live, and we’re going to give everybody opportunity, everybody a ladder into the middle class, every child able to go as far as their dreams will take them–if we stay true to that, then we’re going to be able to maintain the energy and the focus, the fight, the gumption to get stuff done,” Obama said at the DCCC/DSCC event, according to the transcript posted by the White House.

To me, he says we are “Created” so the fishing for hidden meanings in the fact that he does not say “Creator” as well misses the larger issue. Focus on this quote.

if we stay true to our values, if we believe that all people are created equal and everybody is endowed with certain inalienable rights and we’re going to make those words live, and we’re going to give everybody opportunity, everybody a ladder into the middle class,

Yep, see, his version of our national ideal is that the GOVERNMENT is going to GIVE opportunity, and somehow ensure EVERYONE has a place in the MIDDLE CLASS. Sorry Barry, but the Founders spoke of freedoms like the PURSUIT of happiness, not any guarantee of happiness, and certainly no government “ladders” into any certain class. Their ideal was more along the lines of keeping the government out-of-the-way. Once again, Obama’ vision, and that of his entire party, of America is out of touch with the men who founded America.

Dear Main Stream Media: In case you were wondering why America is so fed up with policians………

by Doug Hagin

It is NOT skin color. It is politicians that act like this when their constituents, who the politician is SUPPOSED to be SERVING, dares to question them!

P.S. If you, in the main stream media ever actually bothered to be actual journalists, rather than doing op/ed, you MIGHT figure it out for yourselves! Instead, you insist on blaming racism, while reality passes you by, yet again!

Senator Coburn, I second that emotion!

by Doug Hagin

Tom Coburn is not exactly what you would call on the Newt 2012 bandwagon! Neither am I! Coburn has his reasons, which I share, and to which I would add quite simply that Newt is a politician, in my opinion before he is a Conservative! That just will not do! We need leadership, and in my opinion, politicians are not, by nature leaders. They are, rather than driven by principles, are driven too often by power!

Today’s Airborne “O”gasm: “No stomach for Immigration This year”

While onboard Air Farce One (only named such with Mr. Obama is on board), Mr. Obama was asked about Arizona’s SB1070 and whether Congress would try to tackle immigration issues this year.  Following the same canned rhetoric he’s been using since earlier this month, Mr. Obama was quoted as again saying felt that “…Congress may not have the stomach for Immigration this year…”

Fiberals are starting to see the writing on the wall:  They are set to be trounced in upcoming primaries and in November.  They don’t want to touch Immigration, which is likely to have them tarred and feathered after they are drawn and quartered.  And Mr. Obama is not ready to flush what little political clout remaining in his pithy hands on an issue he sees as a loser.

Which brings me back to a point I made earlier:  Immigration is only a loser issue (politically) because Fiberals and their minions such as Darth Sharpton have made it so.  Instead of recognizing this FUNDAMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, Fiberals instead seek to gain political “brownie points” from their home-made underclass.  Funny how elected leaders prefer to do what’s wrong for poll numbers; instead of doing what’s right and in such gaining the trust, confidence and thanks of those they were elected to serve.

And in an ironic twist I just remembered something:  We the people may not have to stomach much of Congress AFTER this year.  Or Mr. Obama after 2011.

See? it all fits!
