The Bible is often difficult to interpret. Have you ever watched someone with psychiatric problems who is hallucinating? Such looks an awful lot like the demon possession described in the Bible. So it is easy to believe that that is all there is to demons.
Are there real demons? Does Satan exist? The Bible explicitly says that both do exist. Yet Satan and his demons have nothing to gain by revealing themselves to us. So we will rarely receive certain proof of their existence. Therefore, it is an act of faith to believe that Satan and his demons do exist.
Then there is a practical concern. If you believe that Satan and his demons exist, what do you do with that information? I don’t know; it appears many of the clergy do not know either.
