Shut up, they said. You mere peons have no right to question The Won. A bunch of so-called “Christian Leaders” wrote a letter telling us that we should not question Obamster’s claims of being a Christian. This just goes to illustrate that you can find a liberal “Christian” to say just about anything. I’m quoting it in its entirety below so that I can show what utter crap they are promulgating.
“Washington, DC (August 25, 2010)—Over 70 prominent Christian leaders [I’ve never heard of ANY of them!] and denominational heads from across the ideological spectrum joined together today to call for a stop to the misrepresentation of President Obama’s Christian faith. In an open letter, these Christian leaders called on the media, public officials, and their fellow Christians to stand with them in opposing those who continue to insinuate that the President is a Muslim, not a Christian. [Nobody that I know has “insinuated” anything.]
The full text of the letter and a list of signatories is below.
As Christian leaders— whose primary responsibility is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with our congregations, our communities, and our world— we are deeply troubled by the recent questioning of President Obama’s faith. We understand that these are contentious times, but the personal faith of our leaders should not be up for public debate. [He played America for fools. He went to a church in order to get black street cred, then abandoned it once he was running for the Presidency. He has not been back to church since. Hell yes his faith is up for public debate.]
President Obama has been unwavering in confessing Christ as Lord and has spoken often about the importance of his Christian faith. Many of the signees on this letter have prayed and worshipped with this President. [What? Have you been out on the golf course with him? You certainly haven’t been worshipping with him in church since he was elected!] We believe that questioning, and especially misrepresenting, the faith of a confessing believer goes too far.
This is not a political issue. [Yes, it is. He made it a political issue by claiming to be a Christian but behaving as though he is a Muslim.] The signers of this letter come from different political and ideological backgrounds, but we are unified in our belief in Jesus Christ. As Christian pastors and leaders, we believe that fellow Christians need to be an encouragement to those who call Christ their savior, not question the veracity of their faith. [Anybody can claim to be a Christian. Only God knows for sure. The rest of us can “trust but verify.” We refuse to be mindless dupes who believe a lying politician just because he says it is so.]
Therefore, we urge public officials, faith leaders, and the media to offer no further support or airtime to those who misrepresent and call into question the President’s Christian faith. [Shut up, they said!] And we join with the President in praying that God Allah will continue to bless the United States of America.
Bishop T.D. Jakes [And a bunch of other political hacks.]
Sorry, not gonna do it. Not gonna stop questioning B. Hussein Obama’s faith in Christ. Nope. Wouldn’t be prudent. I think he is a lying bastard, and I would not put it past him on this issue, either. He has no morals. No scruples. There is no depth to which he would not stoop to get elected–including lying about his religion–and no depth to which he would not stoop to ram his agenda down the American publics throat. I hold out the possibility that he is a believer in Christ, albeit a misguided one, but I certainly do not see any proof of it.
