I’m not into gay bars…

Okay, in fairness to gay bars, I have never been to one.  Gramps would prolly know about ’em.  But I think this dude who wants to put a gay bar next to the Mosque near “Ground Zero” is on to something.

Knowing how much followers of the Pedophile Profit love dogs, how about a Dog Shelter right next door to the mosque, on the other side of it from the gay bar?  It could offer dog grooming, dog walking, dog (and muslim) neutering.  It could even sell dog goodies such as leashes (no studded collars, Gramps), food, and electric collars.

Hell, while we are at it, how about a barbeque pork restaurant directly accross the street.  Free pork sandwiches to each and every Moslem who makes his wife wear a burka over her ugly face. And if a Moslem chick is one of the few to actually be hawt, free whatever she wants, including the chef!

more wind, dammit, MORE WIND!!!!!!!!!

Do I sound bitter? Me!!!?

Taxpayers Pay For Imam’s Trip

From Fox News;

An advocacy group fighting the so-called Ground Zero Mosque has called on the State Department to back off plans to sponsor the imam of that controversial mosque on an upcoming trip to the Middle East.

The State Department confirmed Tuesday that the administration is sponsoring Feisal Abdul Rauf’s trip to Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which is described as part of a program to send Muslims abroad to educate other countries about the role of religion in the United States. Rauf made similar trips during the Bush administration.

Well, well, well, As if the American tax payer isn’t on the hook enough already what with the TARP, the stimulus, Government Motors, Fannie and Freddie, Obamacare, etal. Are those people in Washington D.C. complete morons or what? Ooops, lets also not forget FLOTUS’s mega-trip to Spain, also on the taxpayer’s dime.   That was nicely covered as a “State” visit because the First Biyatch met and shook hands with the King of Spain. Wonder witch one got the biggest “tingle”?

The Imam is going on this trip to raise the $100 million necessary to build the disputed mosque near Ground Zero. It’s being covered as “Muslim Outreach”.  Outreach my ass.

On a semi-related note, Greg Gutfield of “Redeye” on late night fox news, has investors lined up to help him open an Islamic gay bar right next door to the proposed mosque.  He figures since muslims are “so tolerant”, they won’t mind. Gutfield even plans to have one floor exclusively serve non-alcoholic drinks so as not to offend muslim sensibilities.

Wonder if Mayor Bloomberg will be as sypathetic to building the gay bar as he about building the mosque?

Michelle Obama’s Spain Trip Worth the Cost

I am a political professional, in the sense that I have been paid to work on campaigns for mayor, state legislature and statewide office.  Right now I’m in state government in an appointed position.

In my experience, one of the hardest things for most politicians to do is to understand how their words and actions look to the average Jane, who doesn’t live in the bubble that envelopes even high state-level officials, much less Presidents and members of congress.  Despite the fact that most upper-level politicians are pretty intelligent, at least in the sense of having an IQ of over 100, they seem to be remarkably prone to “Do you know who I am,” “Senior discount drama,” personal intervention in aide’s domestic violence incidents, etc.

A few, like Ronald Reagan, totally “get it” and enjoy enduring popularity across a wide segment of the electorate, even those who disagree with some of their policies.   Reagan knew in his marrow that we don’t have titles of nobility in this country, and the public never saw him acting as if he was their “better.”

Our current President is a curious case.  I watched his 2004 Democratic convention speech live, and was struck by his saying all the right things about red states, blue states, and so on, with a note of conviction.  I thought there was at least a possibility that he actually believed it.  The course of his campaign and his Presidency have shown anyone with eyes to see that he does not.

Michelle’s Excellent Spanish Adventure may not have been quite the Marie Antoinette moment that it seemed to many, but even a low-level operative like me would have seen in two seconds that the timing was lousy and the perceptions would be the worst.  The First Lady is a political figure whether she likes it or not, and she did it anyway, because she could.  You may recall that’s the reason Bill Clinton gave for diddling the intern.  I don’t know whether Barack Obama asked his wife not to go and she went anyway, or was afraid to ask, or figured it would all be just ginger-peachy, but in any of these three cases it is for some folks a final nail in the coffin of a one-term presidency, because they will not vote for Obama again, in which case we might consider well worth the cost to the taxpayers.
