How to stop the anarchists from protesting?

Sorry.  Those protesters burning vehicles bring out the worst in me.  I. Would. Like. Some. Of. Them. Hurt.   RREEAAL BAD.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t want people hurt in general. I think in the long run it is best for society. If people who are protesting know that they could be hurt, real bad, they might think twice before protesting.  People get hurt when protesters burn things and get out of control.  Remember the people who fried when the Greek protesters burnt the bank.  Shoot a few of them.  Jail more of them. Get control.  This almost seems like it is a sport, where these mindless fruitcake go from venue to venue as professional protesters.  Give them a little something to worry about next time.

Want less of this? Jumping on police car before burning it

More of this! Rubber bullets. Not as effective as lead, but it will do

Don’t want to be pelted by rubber bullets? Don’t be a fascist demonstrating asshole….

    See? That was easy!

  2. Napoleon knew–Whiff. Of. Grapeshot.

  3. Methinks he would have learned his lesson if the shot had been 3-4 inches to his right!

  4. I like your thinking John! A double ought shot in the ass might make some of these people think twice about vandalizing property next time.

  5. I prefer pelting them with pork chops…and then loosing the hounds.

  6. I like your thinking too Mom.😉 But I prefer eating the meat offn’ them bones before throwing them at violent protesters. Nothing a hound dog likes more than a bone with all the meat chewed off of it.

  7. MOM! I thought you left us for that great Deuce Coupe Ride in the sky! Long time no seeeee.

  8. Been a little busy bitch-slapping some of my local Pelosi clones. It never ceases to amaze me how local pols (particularly those of the soccer mom variety) don’t understand their fiduciary responsibilities, open government provisions or the statutory limitations on their “power”.

  9. “Don’t be a fascist demonstrating asshole….”

What…like ‘keep your socialist hands off my medicare’?

Those storefronts and police cars were left by police to be vandalized.

We can’t treat any random crime during a protest any differently than random crime any other time.

While I admire the ‘heart’ in these ‘politics’, the perspective expressed is severely limited.

$1 BILLION was spent on security alone in Toronto, while when it was in Pittsburgh it was 10% of that. It costs less to run the UN’s administration for a year…the ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS.

For $1BILLION in security costs, with police trucked in from around the country (or flew), the cost of plainclothes police with cellphones to alert other law enforcement is tiny.

  10. WHEN is the last time a right wing group protested? When they protest, they don’t burn cop cars, you moron. Admit it. Leftists are the fuckheads who burn and loot when they protest. All I axe for is honesty.

    • SO RIGHT, John, leftists are HORRID people!!!!

      – Burning, killing, protesting against their own nation- they are the WORST people alive, the pond-scum. Satans children that love debauchery and hate what is right and good.
      Leftists are terrible.

  11. You’re not being relevant, JD.
The ‘fuckheads’ being left or right wing have nothing to do with their politics. The looters were not ‘protesting’ or ‘demonstrating’ they were smashing and looting and committing crimes.

You’re not asking for honesty, you’re trying to get a rise out of people.

There were tens of thousands of right and left wing groups demonstrating and protesting all weekend and the media focused on the small groups that caused trouble.

where 25000-30000 people gather and march and cause no problems en masse and the only images that get shown are of the few violent events where the ‘Black Bloc’ were rampaging the resulting TV-News-driven anti-protest finger pointers have no clout in any discussion whatsoever.

    Everybody is against these ‘fuckheads’.

It’s our right to gather and stand up for what we believe in, but hundreds of peaceful protesters were met with acts of indiscriminate violence from police and security forces.

We’re not impressed that the summit cost $billions and we’re not impressed by the way the events were managed and pressed.

Don’t turn this into a partisan political issue…unless of course you wag your finger at the CONSERVATIVE Canadian government for overspending and failing to live up to its own promises.

The G20/G8 should be held on its own property. It would be far safer and far more cost effective.

I’d suggest that they abolish it but that’s far less likely than reasonable management of these events.

  12. Well, depends on which G 20/8 country you’re talking about. Which of these countries should provide the “property” for the conferences? Which of these countries is going to annex some of their land for these conferences. Which of these countries is going to provide the security for these meetings?

Can you enlighten us please .r. ?

  13. How is such a pointed line of questioning important to discussion?

Enlightenment comes from within, not from some stranger on the internet.

“…Enlightenment comes from within, not from some stranger on the internet.”

Now let’s all sing Kunbaya and hold hands in utter stupidity. .r. doesn’t know the answer, nor does he appear to grasp any particular learned opinion on the subject. He just wants to carry the party “feel good” line.

So, on .r.’s behalf, Ill enjoy a beer and view more pictures of fascist demonstrating assholes getting beaten to a pulp. That will make me feel good….

“…We can’t treat any random crime during a protest any differently than random crime any other time…”

Surely you cannot be simple-minded enough to believe this. These large demonstrations are staged – the product of professional activist groups and timed for maximum benefit of said organizations. That’s not to say there are not a few free agents there – but if they undertake the lawlessness the professionals do they deserve the same fate.

Demonstrations such as Toronto, Seattle, The La Raza demonstrations in the west are Astroturf plain and simple. They are no more grass roots than straws planted in the sand.

And I don’t recall seeing G20 or G7 or G8 on my Rand McNally world map. Please enlighten us on its location. Perhaps next to Genovia and its lush pear fields? Near Toontown?

    -LTB

  15. Lipton, the large groups left no violence or strife in their wake.

The ‘riots’ were small and scattered.

The professional activist groups were exemplary while the small fringe ‘anarchist’ movement (which is a hilarious moron-filled oxymoron…irony at its pinnacle) is all that was televised.

I am not simple-minded, and I really hope for your sake that you start closing your mouth when you breathe so heavy in public, talking like protest and gathering en masse is anything but a wholly powerful tool for true democracy.

You go ahead and sing Kumbaya but you already sit in a seat of stupidity.

How is the G20 weekend any different than the Montreal stanley cup mischief? Windows broken, cars burned…not a downtown full of broken glass and certainly not widespread destruction.

Business owners and taxpayers (conservative and liberal alike) are calling for shopkeepers and employees being compensated for their damages, as this summit could have easily been held at Exhibition Place – in fact, the mayor of Toronto was calling for it for many months while his pleas were ignored.

The host country should have their summit on a compound with demonstration/festive areas – essential in any democracy – in Toronto, CNE/Exhibition place would have been perfect. Easily accessible, ample space, access to public transit and close to the core for an enflux of tourism. 25,000 people plus? that’s a lot of economic stimulation for a weekend.

Maybe you’re stuck on the destruction, but the bigger issues are overspending, inaction, and injustice.

And for the record, the vandals weren’t fascist they were anti-establishment.

Perhaps t.bagg needs to actually read a book to understand the differences between socialist, fascist, communist, and capitalist…the ‘isms and ‘cracies are not as interchangeable as one may believe.

Funny how someone incorrectly suggests a protesting vandal is fascist yet the fascist violence perpetrated against the people remaining vigilant over their country makes the same person feel good.

(very few of the ‘Black Bloc’ were arrested, most of those shot, beaten, and injured were innocent bystanders and onlookers)

    • R: is that what they preach to you on the huff po?
Right wing PEOPLE are not normally law breakers. Left wingers are for illegal occupiers, killing presidents (All of those pics of GW at their ‘peaceful protests’ hanging by a rope by the neck.) Starting race riots, race-baiting, demanding rights for NON US Citizens. Haters of police, troops, etc.

The left wing never SHUTS UP and just act like good citizens, they are always stirring the pot of discontent, pushing their ways on people, pushing for Un-Constitutional laws. Pushing every which way, but what is good for a nation.

Leftists are EVIL, vile, violent and NAZI-fascist like. Calling people ‘racist’ if they disagree with a person of color, calling people ‘haters’ when they just want LAW abided by.
Leftists-Pot smoking Socialist hippies that hate REAL peace.

  16. Lipton T. Bagg

    .r.:

Bullshit. I understand the difference and use fascist specifically, and purposefully.

Fascists believe that a nation is an organic community that requires strong leadership, singular collective identity, and the will and ability to commit violence and wage war in order to keep the nation strong. They claim that culture is created by collective national society and its state, that cultural ideas are what give individuals identity, and thus rejects individualism. In viewing the nation as an integrated collective community, they see pluralism as a dysfunctional aspect of society, and justify a totalitarian state as a means to represent the nation in its entirety.

Which is exactly what Obama and his like are trying to fashion America as, and what these assholes demonstrating (professionally) want to accomplish – a socialist, yet fascist state.

It’s bullshit, I reject it, and so should you. If you don’t have the intellect to do so, may I suggest you continue to such Liberal dick? It seems you may like the taste…

  17. Lipton T. Bagg

    One more point on this…

When one goes to Pamploma or San Sebastian de los Reyes in Spain to run with the bulls, s/he accepts a degree of possibility that the bull will win – and thereby make for a painful experience. The same is true for one who makes the trip to such an event as the G20 – where any Jr. High School student knows there will be groups of environmental and political whackos protesting and rioting.

Don’t want to be gored by the bulls? Do the reasonable and prudent thing – stay home. And should you decide otherwise and get pelted by rubber bullets or blinded by tear gas, don’t blame “the bull.”

    -LTB

  18. Suggesting the government forces set up to mismanage an event like this are no smarter than an enraged and annoyed farm animal is wholly appropriate.

Protests should not be met with force. Crime must be handled properly, without purely indiscriminate violence, as many people caught up are not actively causing problems.

  19. Lipton T. Bagg

Actually the analogy is the rabid mindless protesters – rebels without a legitimate cause – and enraged farm animals. But good try.

Please stop trying to sell these criminals as wounded victims – it doesn’t wash. The indiscriminate crimes committed here are from the protesters – rioting, destruction of private and public property, assault on police and military personnel and so on. Your patent failure to accept crime as crime is laughable. And while we might agree the response was less than stellar in execution – it appears to the casual observer neither too heavy handed or unwieldy. Had the criminals not committed the crimes we’d not be having this discussion.

Political beliefs and environmentalist positions do not justify the violence. Period.

    -LTB

  20. .r. says;

The G20/G8 should be held on its own property. It would be far safer and far more cost effective.

    Then you say;

The host country should have their summit on a compound with demonstration/festive areas – essential in any democracy – in Toronto, CNE/Exhibition place would have been perfect.

Seems to me you can’t make up your mind. First you say they should have their own property. Then you say that the summits should be held on publicly supported venues at taxpayer’s expense.

Being able to protest what you think is wrong with government is one of our most basic freedoms. No one, whether Liberal/Leftist/Progressive, or staunch Conservatives has the right to turn peaceful protest into mindless violence. The same goes for the celebrations attending a cities winning sports franchise. If you perpetuate violence, then you must pay the price.

If you are at a protest or celebration and you see violent types heading your way, then you should move vacate the general area. BUT, if you decide to hang around and watch the “fun”, then you have no one but yourself to blame if you get hurt.

” I was just standing there watching these guys bust up this shop when all of a sudden, this guy hits me with his baseball bat”…or ” I was just watching when all of a sudden, I got shot with a rubber bullet”. BOO HOO…Cry me a F#@king river.

And lest you think I don’t know what I’m talking about, I’ve seen the aftermath of violent protest some thirty years ago when an outdoor “Rock” concert went bad. 20,000 plus people there went ballistic and started throwing rocks and bottles at the stage, stormed the stage, destroying equipment and the stage itself. My friends and I retreated to the back towards the exit. It’s a good thing we did because the Poliezi, German Police forces, came in on choppers and by armored vehicles with Uzis drawn and billy clubs swinging around. And believe me, if you were in their way, woe is you my friend. Them sumbitches don’t care if you’re innocent or not if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The moral here is…If you hang around violence and violent acts, don’t be surprised if you get some lumps and bumps.

  21. METHINKS that leftist protest TOO MUCH.
    For nothing.

  22. Don’t be too hard on him MJ, .r. is probably just a little aaddle-brained from too many hits to the head when he was a kid.
