Sarah Palin Fights!

To Paraphrase Abe Lincoln, we can’ t spare her–she fights! Whatever is in that holy roller Bible of  hers that she drinks, buy a case of them and distribute them to other so-called Republican “leaders.”

Though not by her, an article from Conservatives4Palin nails it:

…”Obama’s understanding of free market capitalism is commensurate with his ability to speak without a teleprompter. The notion that a guy who has never done anything productive in his life can lecture Wall Street on topics about which he has no clue is so sublimely silly that one can’t help but laugh. The lamestream media, whose dearth of knowledge of financial markets rivals Obama’s, can always be counted on to be there with a shovel to assist their Messiah.”

“Governor Palin, for her part, is not mesmerized by The One’s “brilliance” and sees him for what he is: a hustler who is rapidly losing his ability to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people despite a concerted effort by the media to help him do just that….”

“…Governor Palin is having none of this and rightly called him out (again) while the rest of the GOP pretenders hide in the shadows. Apparently they believe their chances to become president would be harmed if they create a stir by criticizing the disastrous policies being pushed by our inept President. Is Governor Palin the only Republican not afraid to lead? Isn’t Mitt Romney supposed to be the greatest financial mind of our time, indeed in the history of the universe? Where’s he hiding? Perhaps he’s plotting to send his minions to purchase another straw poll….”

Imagine if I–who never served–claimed to know enough to tell Gen. Petreaus how to run the military? Imagine if my wife claimed to know football more than The Tuna?  Yet we give Obama a pass regarding the market and the economy, even though he’s never started a business, made a payroll, or been accountable to make a profit doing anything in his life.

Do I believe that she is presidential timber, at least at the present? Not just no, hell no.  Some of the stuff she does, and the tone of voice in which she says some things, makes me cringe.  But she fights.  She leads.  Am I embarrassed to have her doing the fighting? Yup.  Am I sorry that we have no better politicians speaking out, saying the things that she is saying that need to be said. Absolutely.

Probably the reason that more are  not speaking out is fear.  Look at how she gets treated by the media, and by the Democrats.  A lesser person would  have slunk back to Alaska to live in solitude.  She not only doesn’t shrink back, she takes the fight to them.  Nobody is perfect.   Sometimes the more imperfect among us have to do the job because those more suited to getting the job done just aren’t man enough to step up and do it.

Tim Tebow: Exposing the haters?

looks like he's doing SOMETHING right!!

The vitriol directed at Denver for picking Tim Tebow in the first round is incredible!  Something else is going on other than just a simple disagreement over his talent level. I think it is evidence of underlying dislike hatred of his Christian values and his goody-two shoes image.  This is personal with some of the people out there.  They don’t want Tebow to succeed.  In fact, they want him to fail.

Two articles were quickly sent out bashing the pick.  “Bronco’s McDaniels can kiss his job goodbye with the Tebow pick.”  The author calls him “Saint Timmy” and opines that he isn’t any good but at least he can “save the locker room.”  “Crying after losses? Yeah right!”  [As if other football players have never cried after a huge loss.]  Tell me that isn’t ire directed at Tebow because he is “religious.”

Another article exposes the author’s bias in the title: “Broncos will regret falling for Tebow’s good guy reputation.”  Think I’m imagining religious bias?

“The league is laughing at Denver right now. Other teams are guffawing and mocking them and making Broncos jokes. The countdown until Josh McDaniels gets his ass canned has officially started. Denver wasted a valuable first-round pick on a player who will do nothing for years unless they move Tebow to fullback or make him a missionary and have him snip foreskins.”

What other player receives that kind of hateful press two days after he was drafted?  It’s not as though Tebow isn’t accomplished.  He won the National Championship. He won the Heisman.  He had incredible stats.  But these asshole sports writers and pro scouts don’t think Tebow can play at the next level.  As if they are so smart.  Denver’s coach helped Tom Brady develope as a 6th round draft choice.  Nice catch there all you genius scouts, letting Brady slip so low.

One person commented after the first article and said it better than I ever could:

Teddy’s Temple: A Taxpayer-Funded Shrine to Leftism

Teddy’s Temple: A Taxpayer-Funded Shrine to Leftism.

At a time when the American taxpayer is on the hook for trillions in current and future federal spending—when the Congressional Budget Office warns that the current rate of federal spending is “unsustainable”—liberal Democrats in Congress have earmarked over $68 million of taxpayer dollars for a Boston shrine to the late Senator Edward Kennedy.

In a detailed report, the Boston Herald describes the planned Edward M. Kennedy Institute as a “temple for Ted Kennedy built with pork.”

Just what we need, another shrine to another socialist politician. As if the Kennedys don’t have enough money of their own. Let them pay for their own damn shrine.

Speaking of which, I’ve been reading a new book, well new for me since it was published in 1964. It’s by John A. Stormer called, ” None Dare Call it Treason”.  From the back cover…” None Dare Call it Treason is a careful compilation of facts from hundreds of Congressional investigations of communism and dozens of authoritative books on the communist-socialist conspiracy to enslave America.”

So far from what I glean from this book in the first 60 pages, JFK and others in his administration were communist-socialist sympathizers. And during WW2, FDR’s administration was rife with communists. His executive assistant was a self-avowed commie.
