Dittohead Challenge from Media Matters

Some guy with an obvious inability to think for himself from “Media Matters” made this pathetic challenge.  The “right-wing” sent me, a member of the B-team, to set him straight. (Note: Although I am the guy who most recently discovered that Rush Limbaugh never made one of the alleged racists quotes.)

So here’s the challenge, and it’s open to anyone within the right-wing; Andrew Breitbart, Michelle Malkin, McCarthy, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh himself. Anyone can take a shot. But could somebody from the right-wing please–please–take a few minutes and explain what Limbaugh was talking about when he made this comment earlier this year:

“We are being told that we have to hope [Obama] succeeds, that we have to bend over, grab the ankles … because his father was black.”

….”So that’s that challenge. Could somebody please explain what mental image Limbaugh was trying to paint with this comment, and specifically why people were supposed to be bend over and grab their ankles for Obama? Please explain what Obama’s father being black had to do with the bending and the ankle grabbing. And please explain why nobody connected with the NFL should take offense at Limbaugh’s suggestion that they also bend over and grab their ankles on account of Obama’s black father.”

OK, Mr. Eric Boehlert, pay attention. I’ll type slowly so that even you can understand.  Rush is saying that the liberals are using the fact that Obama is black to shield him from criticism–that anybody who desires his policies to fail will be branded a racist.  And that we have two choices, either bend over and take those policies which we hate so much, or be branded a racist for criticizing Obama.  It is all just the false horns of a dilemna that the liberals are trying to foist upon conservatives.

See? That wasn’t so difficult to understand, now was it?  But it also wasn’t nearly as attention grabbing–it didn’t paint nearly the graphic illustration–of what the pernicious liberal ploy is attempting to do to us.  Somebody hearing my explanation would yawn and forget what I said ten seconds later. But you heard, and remembered, Rush’s illustration.  That’s why they pay him the big bucks, and why you probably donate your time in some cubicle at a dead-end job.

You probably still don’t “get it” so I’ll break your “challenge” down even further.  “[Can somebody explain] specifically why people were supposed to be bend over and grab their ankles for Obama?” If conservatives cannot criticize The One’s agenda, they have to bend over and take it.  If conservatives are not allowed to criticize him, to hope his progressive agenda fails, and to actively work against his agenda without being branded as racists, then all that is left is to “bend over and take it.”  It’s not really a hard concept to grasp. Unless one is intentionally obtuse.

Please explain what Obama’s father being black had to do with the bending and the ankle grabbing. ”  His father was black. If his father was white, as was his mother, nobody would be playing the race card.  Nobody would be claiming that any opposition to his policies was based on racism.  Conservatives would be free to attack him and his policies on the merits without being branded racists.  They wouldn’t be faced with a dilemna of either allowing him to do whatever he wants without criticism, or be branded as racists.  So see, his father’s race has everything to do with “the bending and the ankle grabbing.”

And please explain why nobody connected with the NFL should take offense at Limbaugh’s suggestion that they also bend over and grab their ankles on account of Obama’s black father.”  If they heard Rush’s entire monologue, instead of having idiots take a snippet out of context, they would have no reason to take offense.  Heck, if they would just bother to read my explanation it would all be so clear to them.  Perhaps then they would really take offense at the ones who are playing the race card.  People such as  you. Not because you are racists. Because you are liberals/progressives, and you have no compunction against lying or misrepresenting the facts in order to gain a political advantage.

Thus endeth the lesson, grasshopper.  Return to your pathetic little cubicle and do whatever it is that you do to earn your minimum wage.

[This pathetic little attention seeker even published a follow up to the original challenge.]
