The way liberals see all cops

The way liberals see all cops

911 Operator: “911, how may I help you?”

[Anonymous white woman]: “I saw two n!@@ers breaking into the back door of a neighbor’s house. The address is [deleted].  This is a nice neighborhood. Can you send some white cops to stop them?”

911 Operator: “Sure thing Ma’am. Stay on the line while I call on the white cop hotline for some special white cops to respond.”

911 Operator: “Emergency! Attention nearest white officers: N!@@er break-in in progress at [deleted].  Respond immediately.  Code Two!”

White Officer Crowley: “10-4. I’m just down the street at a Dunkin Donuts. I’ll get those N!@@ers!”

[124 seconds later] White Officer Crowley: “I’m at the location and seeking the suspicious individuals. I’ll use my personal radio to keep in contact.”

White Officer Crowley to 911 Operator: “I caught two N!@@ers inside this fancy house. Get this! One is trying to say that he owns the place! I laughed out loud when he said that, and he got beligerent, so I cuffed him. Then I roughed him up. He is in custody and in the back of the squad car now!”

911 Operator: “Good job, White Officer Crowley! No N!@@ers can afford to live in that fancy neighborhood! And say, if you have any donuts left over, can you drop them by after you book his black ass?”

[Ok, I sorta made that up. That is my opinion about what the blacks and liberals expect it to see.  Now, here is what the conservative white folk think it will reveal.

911 Operator: “911, how may I help you?”

[Anonymous white woman]: “I saw two men who appeared to be breaking into the back door of a neighbor’s house. The address is [deleted].”

911 Operator: “Sure thing Ma’am. Can you give me a description of them?”

[anonymous Good Samaritan] One looked like he was in a chauffer’s suit, and the other looked like a seedy character, about 5’7″, 150 lbs., and maybe  he was armed with a gun!”

[911 Operator] “Yes, but can you tell me their race?”

[Good Samaritan, her voice appearing to bristle slightly] “What does that matter?”

[911 Operator] “The responding officers will need to have a description of their race in order to determine whether they have found the right person.”

[Good Samaritan] “Oh. They both appeared to be black African American.”

[911 Operator] “Stay on the line while I seek the nearest officers to respond.”

911 Operator: “Emergency! Attention all units: Possible  home invasion in progress at [deleted].  Respond immediately.  Code Two!”

Officer Crowley: “10-4. I’m just down the street at an orphanage helping out. Responding immediately!”

[124 seconds later] Officer Crowley: “I’m at the location and seeking the suspicious individuals. I’ll use my personal radio to keep in contact.”

White Officer Crowley to 911 Operator: “I located the two subjects. Turns out one of the guys is a Harvard Professor.  I’m trying to leave and he is screaming at me and calling me a racist. He claims that “I just don’t know who I’m messin’ with.  Must be a ‘big shot’ so I’ll turn the other cheek and just walk away.  Life’s too short to get in disputes with big shots.  Ooops. He is destroying the peace and harmony of this quaint neighborhood. A large gang of spectators is gathering in the front of the house. I fear a race riot! I’m reluctantly going to have to arrest him and take him down town to diffuse the situation.”

911 Operator: “Good job, Officer Crowley! Can’t let a single agitator cause a race riot! And say, if you have any donuts left over, can you drop them by after you book his black ass?”

Moral: Kind of hard to have a diaglogue when the two sides have such diametrically opposite views of the “facts” of each dispute.

  1. I bet you feel like a dumb ass now that the REAL 911 tape was released….
    HA HA HA

  2. Actually, not really. I NAILED the part about the woman not mentioning the race (and getting “mortified” about reports that she did mention that he was black.) And I’d say that the “conservative” point of view was pretty spot-on in most respects. I’m a freakin mind reader!

  3. JD – I read your write up as I was surfing for transcripts – humor aside – you were closer to what really happened as I have heard/read it so far. I say – C’mon guys, go grab that beer with Pres. Obama and chillax for goodness sake! Life is too short to carry gripes – imaginary or otherwise!

  4. “A Second Look At Hate Crimes Legislation”…
The latest incident, involving Prof. Gates, is but one of many such stories that happen across America. Similar stories include the Al Sharpton / Tawana Brawley, the Duke University Lacrosse rape case and countless others across this nation. Some stories reach the level of the national news and many more do not, and are endured quietly, without recourse on a daily basis. In order to move beyond “race” in the 21st century, respect and fairness in the application of law must be the order of the day. I have struggled with the very concept of “hate crimes” because laws already exist that cover what “hate crimes” legislation does without the added “what you did is worse because of what you were thinking”. But maybe the thinking here was correct from the start. You may recall that the common theme in the fore mentioned stories was a false accusation of racism. This type of action seems to be a perfect candidate for a “hate crimes” designation. What could be more motivated by “hate” than a false accusation or racism. The 911 and police radio dispatch tapes released today clearly show that race was not an issue. The caller didn’t know the race of the people in question. She only expressed concern that a neighbor’s house was in jeopardy. Prof. Gates threw the first and only “race card”. Falsely I might add. According to the press conference today the city of Cambridge will hire experts and form committees to study the situation, caused by Prof. Gates’ false allegations of racism, and make recommendations, a process expected to take many months and cost tax payers no telling how much money, all because Prof. Gates decided to cry wolf, when no wolf was present. If it had not been discovered early that these accusations of racism were false, it most probably would have negatively the officers involved for the rest of their lives. The officers could have lost their jobs and livelihood, city provided healthcare canceled and being shunned in society. This is a lot of damage to do to someone for no legitimate reason, and charges for a false accuser of racism should fall under “hate crimes” legislation. Seems fair.

  5. Political, I agree with almost all that you wrote, but I would point out that Gates could have just been honestly mistaken as opposed to intentionally and maliciously crying racism. He might have had a bad day, and assumed the cop was being racist. He might have been honestly mistaken because as a stereo-type white cops some places are racists and do treat black men differently. I do not believe that the most likely explanation is that he just wanted to make a public scene, cry racism, just because he could.

I think Gates owes the cop an official, public apology. But if Officer Crowley asked my legal opinion I would advise him to just let it go if Gates does publicly apologize. Obama, on the other hand, showed extremely poor judgment in making this a racial issue. He should have said Gates is his friend, but he does not know the facts, and shut the hell up. Obama owes an apology, too, but that will never happened. He only apologizes for America, not himself.

  6. Oh, and Lou, thanks for stopping by and thanks for commenting.
