Is Obama using Rick Warren the same as he did Rev Wright?

“Last August I [Star Parker] wrote a column critical of Rick Warren’s decision to host a presidential candidate forum at his Saddleback Church.”

“My reasoning then was that America’s crisis is moral ambiguity. I argued that Pastor Warren would only contribute to this ambiguity by hosting candidates with opposing views on issues such as abortion and homosexuality and presenting himself as a neutral moderator.”

“Only Barack Obama would gain, I felt, being showcased as an acceptable candidate by one of the nation’s best known evangelical pastors. If John McCain had wanted to clarify his social conservative credentials, he didn’t need to go to Rick Warren’s church with Barack Obama to do it.” Continue reading

EPA considers $175 per dairy cow tax “to curb greenhouse gases”

Will these idiots ever learn? On a lighter note, I think a couple of my poker buddies need to be taxed for their contributions to  the problem of “greenhouse gasses.”  We literally have to keep a box of matches handy every poker night… Continue reading

Wanna see my picture on the cover of the Republitarian

Well, we’re big famous bloggers
We’ve got golden fingers
And we’re loved everywhere we blog (that sounds like us)
We write about beauty and we write about truth
For ten-thousand dollars a page
We take all kinds of pills that give us all kind of thrills

But the thrill we’ve never known
Is the thrill that’ll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Republitarian,

I want to refer my readers to another excellant blog comment–and add what that excellant comment neglected to say

180px-cupola_caboose1First, the article sets the stage for when Henry Ford raised the hourly rate of his workers to $5.00 per day and lowered the number of hours per week they had to work, and offered a profit sharing plan.  Of course, this other blog being Democrats, and as we all know Democrats are not too bright, they at the end of an otherwise excellent post failed to draw all of the proper conclusions. Not to spoil your reading of the article, but the conclusion of the article was as follows: Continue reading

President-elect Barack “Uncle Tom” Obama

Wouldn’t you expect the first black President to oppose the Republicans if they tried to prevent the only black U.S. Senator from even being considered for appointment because of his race? Hear me out, you Obamaniacs. This is not just another hate-Obama screed. I fully realize that Obama’s original opposition to the appointment of Blago’s choice of Burris is more consistent with a principled opposition to a corrupt Governor as it is with being an Uncle Tom.  But, correct me if I’m wrong, but it was not public knowledge when he first opposed Burress that Sen Harry Reid–the freakin’ leader of the Dems in the Senate–had called Blago and told him not to select a black man. Not Burris–but any black man or woman. Obama’s original opposition to the Blago selection of Burris was because the entire selection process could not be trusted because of words that Blago had supposedly said. Well now, the entire process cannot be trusted because of what Sen. Harry Reid said. How can we trust that the next person who is selected by whomever does the selecting will not be selected based upon their race. Only whiteys need apply?  Is that why a black governor in New Yawk is seriously considering Princess Kennedy? Did Harry Reid already put the finger on him? Continue reading

The sound of SILENCE

What you hear from the MSM when Obama’s choice of Gov Richardson has to withdraw himself from consideration because of scandal.  The Democrats’ idea of a “fiscal conservative” is a Governor who drives a hard bargain in his pay-to-play schemes.  Would the MSM notice if this were McSame’s pick? Axe Sarah.  But some of us noticed. And others have even retained their sense of humor: “Jim McKee wrote: ‘They told me if I voted for McCain, I’d have a President who didn’t properly vet his nominees–and they were right!'” http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/

They don’t call California the land of Fruits and Nuts for nuthin

Now, those geniuses are regulating what kind of television people can buy. “The regulations would be phased in over two years, with a first tier taking effect on Jan. 1, 2011, and a more stringent, second tier on Jan. 1, 2013. Purchasers of Tier 1-compliant TVs would shave an average of $18.48 off their residential electric bill in the first year of ownership, the Energy Commission estimates. Tier 2 sets would save an additional $11.76 a year.”  Continue reading
