“Faith is not a political issue”

Shut up, they said.  You mere peons have no right to question The Won.  A bunch of so-called “Christian Leaders” wrote a letter telling us that we should not question Obamster’s claims of being a Christian.  This just goes to illustrate that you can find a liberal “Christian” to say just about anything.  I’m quoting it in its entirety below so that I can show what utter crap  they are promulgating.

“Washington, DC (August 25, 2010)—Over 70 prominent Christian leaders [I've never heard of ANY of them!] and denominational heads from across the ideological spectrum joined together today to call for a stop to the misrepresentation of President Obama’s Christian faith.   In an open letter, these Christian leaders called on the media, public officials, and their fellow Christians to stand with them in opposing those who continue to insinuate that the President is a Muslim, not a Christian. [Nobody that I know has "insinuated" anything.]

The full text of the letter and a list of signatories is below.

As Christian leaders— whose primary responsibility is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with our congregations, our communities, and our world— we are deeply troubled by the recent questioning of President Obama’s faith. We understand that these are contentious times, but the personal faith of our leaders should not be up for public debate. [He played America for fools. He went to a church in order to get black street cred, then abandoned it once he was running for the Presidency.  He has not been back to church since.  Hell yes his faith is up for public debate.] Continue reading

The Election of Recovery

Why, oh why haven’t we conservatives and GOP in particular clobbered the Obama Administration more for its ill-conceived hopey-changey phrase “The Summer of Recovery!!?”

As Karl Rove writes in the WSJ:

Honey, I Shrunk My Approval Ratings

The White House is having a disastrous ‘summer of recovery.’

“In what will rank as one of the all-time presidential PR disasters, we’re now well over half way through what the White House called “the summer of recovery.” And what a recovery it’s been.”

“Earlier this month, first-time claims for unemployment hit a nine-month high. The unemployment rate remains at 9.5% and 18.4% of workers are out of a job, can only get part-time work, or have given up looking for a job altogether. Sales of existing homes dropped 27% from June to July, hitting the lowest point since data were first collected in 1999. The Conference Board’s Consumer Confidence Index fell to 50.4 in July, continuing a slide that started in February. And the stock market is down 11% from its peak in April.”

”All of this has helped shatter public confidence in the president. In early May, Mr. Obama’s approval on the economy in the YouGov/Polimetrix poll was 42%. By mid-August, it was 35%—a frightening number for Democrats less than 70 days from a midterm election. According to this week’s Reuters poll, 72% are “very” worried about jobs and 67% “very concerned” about government spending.”

So true, Mr. Rove.

A quick google search of “the summer of recovery” finds 1,220,000 results in 0.32 seconds.*  Granted, some of those hits are recent snarky attacks by Pubs and conservatives such as this post, but I’d bet big bucks that most of them were put out into the blogosphere by Dems and their lackeys in the libkookosphere as they tried to paint the picture of a wonderful recovery brought about by their ill-conceived and terrible “stimulus bill.”

This ”summer of recovery” is worse than Bush’s war(s).  Remember, many Dems as well as a vast majority of Americans supported invading Iraq and Afghanistan.  Dems voted in support of attacking.  Dems own this summer of non-recovery.  No Pubs voted for it, only two RINOs, and a turn-coat, if memory serves me correctly.    The porkulus bill and the “summer of recovery” should be hung around Obama, Pelosi and Reid and the other mindless hacks in the majority party’s necks like a millstone.  Bush is gone. The Pubs were powerless to stop them. And Americans regret electing them. The Election of Recovery cometh soon.

Obama Planning Second Back to School Speech

We made a big deal about his “back to school speech” at our granddaughter’s school last year and we were able to, along with other concerned parents, have the school make viewing Obama’s speech voluntary. Looks like we’ll have to do it again.

A public service message like…”Stay in school and study hard” that lasts less than a minute is one thing, but to subject children to a rambling political speech is just wrong, no matter who it is.

268 MPH…WOW…And It’s a VW…Sort of

Bugatti, a subsidiary of Volkswagen, has come out with a production car that will go 268 miles per hour. That’s almost four times the maximum speed limit on any highway in America. It broke the previous record set by a Shelby of 256 MPH, although Bugatti says that the Shelby shouldn’t qualify as a production car. Bugatti plans to build 300 of the two plus million dollar cars whilst Shelby plans on building four of his models a month for the next four years. Shelby’s model comes in at a paltry 780,000 bucks. The maker of this “new” Shelby is Jerrod Shelby, no relation to the famous Carroll Shelby of souped up Mustang fame.

Serial killer could collect $1,600 monthly disability pension even while on death row | Washington Examiner

If this aint a crock of shit! This murderer is going to collect his monthly pension until he finally croaks. According to the article, he has already collected at least 300,000 dollars and if he doesn’t get the needle or ride on “Sparky” soon, has the potential to collect up to a million dollars.

If I were the voters in California, I would be storming the governor’s mansion and demanding that the law be changed so that convicted felons can’t keep collecting pensions while in prison. They’re already being supported by the taxpayer with “three hots and a cot”, plus free dental and medical.
