and yet it pays four top executives bonuses of $470,000 to $611,000. “More than 7,600 employees of US government-rescued mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are to receive 210 million dollars in bonuses to keep them in their jobs, according to documents released by a lawmaker Friday [early April 2009].” But no fake outrage from The Agitator in Chief? Remember his feigned outrage when AIG, which also received taxpayer funded bailouts, was going to pay their executives bonuses–which the execs had earned pursuant to their pre-existing contracts and which Obama wanted to force AIG to violate? ”The president expressed dismay and anger over the bonuses [$160 million] to executives at AIG, which has received $173 billion in U.S. government bailouts over the past six months.”
Remember how The Community Agitator in Chief forced AIG to make their executives repay their bonuses? Not a peep so far regarding the Fannie Mae bonuses. Continue reading
The worthless bastard can’t even publicly support the G.O.P. candidate (Toomey) in Pennsylvania over the turn-coat Democrat candidate Benedict Specter . What a worthless piece of shit both of them are. Specter, Ridge, John McCain and his entire family, The Maine Twin fuck ups, all RINOs, go. Just. Get. The. Fuck. Out.
“It’s a wonderful country, this America. It’s called a secret ballot,” former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Thursday — as he refused to pledge his support to former Congressman Pat Toomey over recent Republican-turned-Democratic incumbent Arlen Specter for his homestate’s 2010 Senate race.
“Ridge’s comment came in response to this question posed by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: “If you had to vote between Toomey, the conservative Republican, or Specter, the ex-Republican, who would you vote for?”
“According to an outline the company has been sharing privately with Washington legislators, the number of cars that GM sells in the United States and builds in Mexico, China and South Korea will roughly double.”
“More significantly, it raises fundamental questions about the purpose of bailing out these big companies.” [Said former labor secretary Robert B. Reich, now a professor at the University of California-Berkeley.] ”If GM is going to do more of its production overseas, then why exactly are we saving GM?”
This story is rich on soooo many levels. Obama is bailing out GM because America supposedly needs GM. Obama is using our tax dollars to bail GM out, and handing over ownership–if he can get away with it–to the UAW. In order to pay them off for supporting his bid for the Presidency. Yet the unions are ruining GM, and forcing it to move jobs out of America. This shows the Law Of Unintended Consequences applies even to inexperienced community agitators. If George W. Bush did something like this it would be the 3″ headline of every newspaper in America.
