WHERE do you draw the line?

February 14, 2009 · 4 Comments

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”  Thomas Jefferson.

paranoia-its-all-around-usI’m sitting huddled in my underground bunker “somewhere in central Virginia” wondering if Obama’s jack-booted thugs will come for me just for asking the question.  But I am closer to the line than I have ever even imagined before.  Where is your line? Do you have any? Where are you going to say enough is enough, I’m not taking it any more? Sure, I might wimp out, but from where I sit alone in this cold dark bunker, various recent lines of attacks by the Left have me seeing lines in the sand, beyond which I refuse to be pushed.  The “Fairness Doctrine” and “Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act.” If Franken steals (not if he wins fair and square) the election from Coleman–another line.  I’m even thinking this crap that was thrown into the Porkulus Bill about the Government having access to all our medical records and ordering our own doctors what they can and cannot do for us is another line. I’m mad as hell and I’m not gonna take this lying down.  I’d rather go down fighting–before they take my guns.

But am I just being paranoid? [Evidently, I am not alone as there is alot of talk from citizens about a current run on ammo. :) ]  Anybody else have any “lines in the sand” beyond which the Government cannot go? How far are you going to let them push before you finally stand up and revolt? I KNOW, we can’t all run around taking the law into our own hands, becoming no better than the terrorists.  But by the same token, we can’t just sit around taking whatever the tyrants in the Government dish out. Or can we? Now is the time to think about it. Where is your line, if you have one?

Frankly, I’ve been thinking about the same thing – and along the same lines. We’re looking at the biggest power grab ever, and the Democrats are moving fast before the lowing herd knows what hit them. What happens when those of us who are committed to personal freedom and limited government decide that we don’t want to live under a one-party state – regardless of whether or not we’re in the majority? Some interesting times ahead…

John, WE are the ones that are correct. The Leftist group want it, they can come and get it. I’m in fighting mode now.
