Why arrest the Governor now?

Imagine, you are investigating, let’s say, a Governor of a large midwestern state. Said Governor has sole authority to appoint the Senator who will take the place of the President-Elect, who previously occupied the spot until he won the election. You have the Governor’s phones tapped and he is in the process of taking bids from various politicians to see who will pay the most for the Senate seat. Continue reading

Global warming hoax should be the top news today

gw“Illinois Governor seeks bribe” is dog bites man news. “Finally, scientists are starting to stand up to the man-made global warming thugs” is man bites dog news! [I am one of those "kooks" who has NEVER believed one little bit of this crap. I know how liberals work. They try to bully everyone into agreeing with them to start a stampede.]

“POZNAN, Poland - The UN global warming conference currently underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.  Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. GWB: “Too Nice” or just too stupid

Here is a portion of an article complaining that GWB was no conservative. Most conservatives I know supported him only on his ultimate choice of Justices to the Supreme Court, and for his tough stance on terrorism. Besides that, he was worse than a liberal. He was a liberal masquerading as a conservative, and thereby giving conservatives a bad name. I believe that GWB was too high-minded to be President, that he naively thought that if  he just kept doing what he thought was right, and ignoring the incessant attacks on him by the Democrats, that the country would admire him and not believe the lies from the Left. That proved to be either insanely nice based upon naivety, or just plain stupid. The truth could go either way in my opinion. Continue reading

I am Joe the Plumber redux

See! I told you I was Joe the Plumber! This guy saw it exactly as I saw it. [OK, I wouldn’t use such a strong word as “appalled” to describe my reaction to some of what McCain said and did, but I would use the word “scare” to describe what the thought of Obama as President does to mean. We are in for a long four years, IMHO. Continue reading
